We had a vision to create and donate arrangements to all the residents of St. Joesph Residence in New London. As we were brainstorming we realized this would be a great project to work with the community but even more with the local students at the high school. See, the owner Kim started her entrepreneurial journey at New London High School with the SEM program and knows the power in providing the opportunity to students to be part of a real life project. Instead of Events Everlasting just providing the arrangements, we knew we could do more with our whole community!

Fall of 2023 we teamed up with 2 students in the SEM program who helped create the foundation of the program. In the process they were able to learn how to market, network with local businesses and the community, create arrangements, and then oversee distribution and volunteers. These are skills that will follow the students the rest of their careers.

This project is to really about bring some seasonal cheer to our nursing home population during the holiday season. This group is sadly the most overlooked during the holidays and by providing some fresh floral we hope to brighten their day as the students deliver and visit with the residents.

There are roughly 100 residents within the facility of St. Joseph Residence and our goal is to be able to donate arrangements to all of them. Hopefully we will raise more to expand to the staff at the facility to show our appreciation of their hard work. In 2023 with your help we were able to donate over 120 arrangements to the local nursing homes!
